Snidow Annual Reunion

Thanks to all who attended our 35th Annual Reunion on Saturday, August 6th, 2011! (See future reunion details below). See some photos from past reunions and from around the area here.

We begin every reunion gathering with a prayer and the Pledge of Allegiance.... "I pledge allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands: one Nation under God, indivisible, With Liberty and Justice for all."

Reunion Details: Usually the first Saturday in August. Location is the American Legion building in Pembroke. The building is handicapped-accessible and air-conditioned. There is also the open shade of the picnic shelter as well as plenty of play area and playground facilities for the children. Each family is asked to bring a dish to share. The planning committee will provide the other essentials (beverages, utensils, napkins, etc.) Door prizes and the Silver Dollar Awards are given (oldest attending, youngest, the one who has traveled the longest distance to get to the reunion...). We also "pass the hat" (we pass the 'log cabin') for donations which are very much appreciated.

Directions from Rt. 460 in Pembroke...Turn south onto Castle Rock Road (State Rt. 626). At approximately 1/2 mile, the road turns to the left but keep going straight and the American Legion park fields and building will be straight ahead. We always have a big table in the back of the room for Snidow memorabilia. Bring any pictures, artifacts and other mementos that would be of interest to others. Make sure your name is on any materials that you bring. Some folks come a little early to get in some extra visiting time...11:45 - 12 noon or so. Feel free to do that!

All Snidow descendants/relatives and friends of the family are welcome! So come join the fun ~ when you check in, you can fill out a name tag and get a ticket for the door prizes. We hope to see you in August!
